"To celebrate their first nationwide tour, cross-dressing idol group Fudanjuku will be live streaming their concert on NicoNico Douga on May 5th at 17:00 JST (4:00 AM EST).

The group will also be releasing their latest single, “Ame Tokidoki Hare Nochi Niji“, on May 23rd. To commemorate its release, they will also be holding the first ever “Fudanjuku presents Kashi Senbatsu ‘Fu’senkyo” (Lyrics Selection ‘Fu’-lection). Producer Hanawa composed a new song for the competition, and each of the members has been tasked with writing their own original lyrics.

Fans who purchase a copy of the new single will be able to cast votes for the member whose lyrics they like the best, and the winning lyrics will be used for the final version of the song. The finished song will be included on an album to be released some time this year, and the winning member will also be awarded the center position in the song’s dance formation. The members will perform their various versions of the song during the live stream, and the finished song will be revealed at the end of the tour on June 30th.

Fudanjuku's 8th single, "Ame Tokidoki Hare Nochi Niji" has just been announced! The title track will be used as the ending theme song for new NHK anime "Ginga e Kickoff!" beginning in April & is Fudanjuku's first anime song since Katsunda! in 2008.

The limited edition will come with a DVD with the PV & making-of specific to each member's version as usual. Further details yet to be announced! They're airing a preview of the show at the end of March so we may get an HQ tv-size preview around then.

Fudanjuku First Nationwide Tour - Fudanjuku Ranbu TOUR2012 -Niji- (2012.05.05-2012.06.30)

Following their first one-man live, Fudanjuku have announced their first nationwide tour! The tour will begin on 5/5 and run for a total of 6 cities & 7 shows, including shows in several of the members' home prefectures. The cost will be 3900Y per person (including special tour version of the single) or 2900Y for the ticket only. Fanclub ticket preorders are available from now through March 10th.

I'm starting an idol info site with profiles, discography, color code lyrics, and much more. I plan to be featuring a lot of different groups... But I have a couple specifically in mind, and Fudanjuku is one of them. There aren't many English sites for some of the lesser known idol groups, so I want to make a high quality website to help promote them.

I think the benefit of this kind of site that I'm planning to make is that there will be separate sections for different groups, so if you only care about Fudanjuku and no other groups, you don't have to even see them. But let's say a fan of another group promoted on my site were to be curious, and found out about this group... Well I think we can make new fans of Fudanjuku and NFS, from a site like this. It works the other way too. So I think this kind of setup is mutually beneficial to all the groups added.

That said, I need staff, as the subject implies. You can really help with just about anything, from graphics to research to translation... I could use help in almost any department. Just send me an email at akb48fan@live.com and tell me how you think you can help. Even if you're not sure, feel free to send an email anyway.

If I can get some fellow fans to help out, and we can make the site somewhat popular, I'm highly considering buying a top leven domain name for the site. Of course I'd pay it myself. My life has been changed so much by amazing groups like Fudanjuku and all I want to do it be able to promote them, and help fellow fans. I know maybe this was a little selfish to plug this here, but I think if I can even get one or two people from this fandom on board to help out, we could make this a real success. I'm 100% dedicated to making this work, for the sake of supporting the groups I love.

From what I understand from this blog post, the manga drawn by Tanemura Arina previously released in Margaret will be published as a book. The release date is February 15th 2012.

It'll be a pretty special show since it'll be the last show for NFS before they go on hiatus from their music activities, and the first show for the new members!

New single featuring the two new members, Aiba Kensui (light blue)(the light haired one) and Yukimura Ryouma (white)(the dark haired one). The single is called “Kaze Ikki” ( 風一揆 ) and goes on sale on the 18th of January.

So Kensui is an "Health otaku" and Ryouma a "High school baseball otaku".
I'll need confirmation here since my Japanese skills are still pretty weak, but I believe they said they were stopping Nakano FujoSisters musical activities? I may be completely wrong though ^^" They said NFS' music activities are going to be put on hiatus for a while (meaning no singles/concerts) in order to focus on Fudanjuku.

Hey guys! Here's the latest!

The girls have tweeted about recording a lot lately, and they've just filmed the new PV! Segway also mentioned that one of the songs they've been recording is definitely going to become a song full of memories (like, "when we were recording this, such-and-such was going on"), & said everyone should look forward to hearing it

Their twice-monthly streaming show will be on at 11/25 24:30~25:30 JST which I think is 11/25 10:30a.m. EST but lol who knows. But the important part is that according to the staff it'll have stuff about the New Member Audition & their activities for next year, so if you can, please tune in! I've been assuming they won't announce who won until their show in December, but with it being so close to their single release, they might tell us the date they'll announce or just do it this week! In addition, rumor has it that there's gonna be two new member editions of the single, obviously leading people to speculate that we might get two new members. Of course, though, it's also likely that there'll be one new member for Fudanjuku and one new member for Nakano Fujo Sisters. xD We'll just have to see! Personally I'm hoping for just one, if only because it's a pain dealing with glowstick colors... but whatever happens, I'll probably still be happy!

The boys announced at their concert tonight that a new single has been set for release on January 18, 2012! Title still unknown, it seems like they haven't even heard it yet xD

Also of note, applications for their new member audition closed as of yesterday, so hopefully we'll have some news on that soon!
